- A Perfect Father (9/12/2011)
Kathleen continues her talk on original sin and how much God loves us. After God made a perfect world and created perfect humans to live in it, they chose to disbelieve God and thus disobey God and their eyes were opened to good and evil. Because of their disobedience corruption entered their bodies, souls and spirits and everything God created.
Immediately, God The Father wanted to forgive His children. And He knew that it would take a SACRIFICE of Himself. Real forgiveness always a sacrifice.
- Back To Basics: Starting Fresh
Shame. Separation from God. A Perfect Love redeemed us from the curse of the law.
- Becoming A God Seeker
Who are you seeking? Are you pleasing self? When you are a self seeker, you serve self. We need to be God seekers, not self seekers. Love is not self-seeking. That which you seek, you will serve. If we seek Him, serve Him, He will bless us. No One can serve two masters...you cannot serve the god of riches and the God of the universe. We are to seek first the kingdom of God.
- Establishing Your Spiritual Location/Foundation
Your choices determine which kingdom you will live in while you are here on earth.
- God's Investment Plan
How do you make the big decisions in your life? Kathleen discusses God's plan for these important times.
- Grow Up In Love
What kind of love do you have in your heart? Our desires to please people instead of doing what pleases God is taking the easy road. How hard is it to love those who love us? A frank discussion of the kind of love God has for us and we are to have for others.
- How You Can Become A Keeper Of the Way
Denying yourself takes more than humility. How to apply what you learn and love others like Jesus did and what that looks like in your every day life.
- I Am With You On That
Worldly definition of love has NOTHING to do with sacrifice. God has EVERYTHING to do with sacrifice. When I'm hurting, I can help others who are hurting like I am.
- If You ...
What did it take for you to lift Him up in your own heart and truly come to know HIm?
- Living For God's Love
In this talk Kathleen shares the way to never fail in life and to hear "well done, good and faithful servant". She speaks to us about not letting your love grow cold. The Bible tells us in the end times the hearts of men will grow cold. All that matters is love. Love and you will have accomplished His will. The enemy wants to take your ability to love from you and see that your heart is hardened. Your responsibility is not to create a great destiny, call in angels, raise amazing children, be perfect. Our only responsibility is to love. Stay in love and in God and you'll never fail because love never fails. Show your love for Jesus by showing your love for His lambs. That includes loving yourself and forgiving yourself. God will take care of you if you take care of others. NOTHING can separate you from the love of Christ.
This talk aired in 2 parts: Part 1 on January 23 and 24 - Part 2 on January 30 and 31.
- Love - How, When and Why
Where does love come from? Do you ever wonder if you really love God? Kathleen discusses how God's faithfulness is revealed in it's consistency. His love is consistently revealed to us anew each time we read the Bible. The enemy will try to fool you, but remember that the only love we have in us is what God has given us.
- Love is Not Easily Angered Part 2
Love is not EASILY angered. God does not say "love is not angered ever at all." There is such a thing as righteous anger. Jesus was angered when the temple was being desecrated. We can operate out of provoked anger, but that will cause strife. There are ways to stop anger and strife from poisoning our lives. Seek patience, the opposite of being hot tempered.
- Love Is Not Easily Angered Part 3
The religious leaders tried to provoke Jesus' anger. In one instance, the Pharisees brought an adulteress to Jesus and asked Him to convict her. When Jesus wrote in the sand, He was showing them how He bought time and prayed before responding to the accusers and the woman. We often get in trouble when we answer too quickly. Most of us are slow to listen, quick to speak, and quick to anger. Although they were trying to trap Him into either saying that scripture was wrong about Moses or letting the adulteress off the hook, He responded by saying "he who is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone." That simple statement was so convicting that everyone left except the accused woman and Jesus. The number one lesson we should learn from this is to take our time and answer slowly.
- Love Is Not Rude
How to be clothed in love and kindness and uncover rudeness in all its forms.
- Love Keeps No Record Of Wrongs (3 of 3)
God does not want things in our lives to be stumbling blocks; He wants them to be stepping stones. We can choose to walk upon things to get to a higher place or we can trip on them. It is our choice. He will do a NEW thing in us if we live in today and do not dwell on yesterday. If we turn to God, He can help us forgive . Love is a free choice. We need the Word of God to change us. Perfect love drives out all fear and hope does not disappoint us. This talk aired on January 16 & 17, 2010 and is part 3 of a 3 part series.
- Love Keeps No Record Of Wrongs (part 2 of 3)
God will remember our sins no more. We are not the black sheep of the Christian family. When He looks at us, He sees us as purified by the blood of Jesus. He is not keeping score. We should be an iimitator of Jesus. Walk in love the way Jesus loves us. Do and think as God does. We can only do this with the help of the Holy Spirit. The biggest thing is to not keep a record of wrongs. We need to get rid of those things that God tells us to get rid of. God calls us to a life of freedom, not one where we are always collecting debts. God's forgiveness is His biggest demonstration of love. We should do likewise. Forgive others like we want to be forgiven. We may need to be honest with God and ask Him for help in putting a hurt away. Forgiveness brings life and frees us from the law of sin and death. Unforgiveness can mean death of relationships, of creativity, and even death to our body. We need to put aside any excuses we have for unforgiveness and ask God to cleanse our thoughts and hearts.
- Love Not Like (5 of 6)
Learn how to forgive and love even those whom you may not like.
- Personally Possessing Faith (3 of 3)
We must personally possess faith through the Word so that we can share it with others. Perfect love casts out fear. Sharing our faith with others is God's plan for us - to share the love of Jesus who came to destroy the works of the devil.
- Receiving God's Love For Yourself (Part 1)
People want to give God's love to the world but do not know how. Before we give anything away, we have to receive it, then possess it, then give it. We cannot give something away that we do not have. Receive means to acquire or partake; possess means to carry it and have it with you; give means to dispense and give out. We have to love ourselves in order to love others. God says over and over to love your neighbors as you love yourself. When you fly, if there is ever a need to have oxygen, they say to apply the mask to yourself first, then help someone else. It is the same with mercy and forgiveness. If you haven't received it, you cannot give it.
- The Beginning Of God's Strength
God doesn't look at you and wonder how long you will be a mess or how many promises you will break. He sees you as eternal. You are an overcomer. Greater is He who is within you than is in the world. Don't change the WORD to fit your circumstances, tradition, or favorite speaker. Don't change it to make more sense. It is Truth. Those who live in the truth don't need to fake joy or peace. They just believe the Word.
- The Father's Heart Through A Mother's Eyes
There are all different kinds of mothers: Spiritual, Biological, Adopted. God compares His love towards us to that of a Mother towards her child. Isa 49:15, "Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne?" Through a Mother's Eyes", I catch glimpses of the heart of the Father. His Compassion, like a mother, God has COMPASSION toward us (His children) through every stage of life. His desire to meet His children right where they are.
- The Gift Of God (12/05/11)
Kathleen discusses God's gift to us in Jesus. Our lives are to be lived in a joyful relationship with Christ in the here and NOW. How do we live this out in our choices and truthfulness with ourselves and others?
- The Relationship (10/17/11)
Christianity is about the Person of Jesus. We are made (by God, Our Creator) to know Him through the Person of Jesus (His Son.)
Any approach we make toward God (with a true heart to want to know Him) He rewards.
- The Secret Revealed (1 of 10)
The answer to what the secret is - Obedience. How many of you would have been excited if Kathleen said she was going to teach a minimum of 4 weeks on Obedience?! Unfortunately, the word "obedience" is distasteful to most of us, even though we want it from our children. It's interesting that Isaiah 1:19 says that "If you are obedient you will eat the good of the land." So who made "obedience" a distasteful word? The enemy! Isaiah says we will have the best in our life; but to us today, the word sounds so stoic plus it brings conviction. We don't want to hear it! When we look at some of the good results of obedience, most of us would be excited to be obedient to God.
- The Word Is Active and Alive
How actively looking for someone to love and help, is the way to peace with God and with yourself.
- Unto The Least Of These
With the love of God (a verb, sacrificial, in action) you can extend yourself to those who are hungry, thirst, naked, imprisoned (literally & figuratively). By doing so, you are feeding, clothing, and loving Jesus
- Use Your Weapons Correctly (4 of 6)
Kathleen reviews the two kingdoms and the two rulers. Jesus does not set you up to fail. He will always provide a way out. This world is controlled by satan. But because of Jesus we have His authority (not His power-there is a difference). We have the fruit of the Spirit. Read the Word and believe that it is true. Why put a question mark where God puts a period? You can hear lies so often that you start to believe they are true. The WORD is our only defensive weapon. Use the WORD outloud. Christians need to memorize and USE scriptures. If you defend your anger, fear, etc, you will keep it. Think about that! Instead, say "I have a good reason to be afraid. BUT I have not been given a spirit of fear, but of power and love and sound mind."
- What Does It Mean To Carry My Cross? (3 of 4)
What is our cross? LOVE. Love God. Love others. Which means dying to self, giving up your own rights: The cross, where our will crosses God's will. Being a Believer does NOT mean that we are part of a "Bless Me" Club, but rather a part of God's LOVE. True LOVE always involves personal sacrifice. Love is a willingness to die.
- When God's Will Is An Inconvenience (1 of 4)
Most of the time, an inconvenience has to do with our neighbor. God's will: Love the Lord your God. Love your neighbor as yourself. When we're inconvenienced and our will doesn't line up with God's will, most of the time it has to do with ours. Compassion always means action. It is not pity; pity will look and turn away. Compassion is an action word. Don't be afraid to be inconvenienced.
- Who's At Your Gate?
God puts certain people in our paths. Discover how to joyfully love the "unlovely" in your life.
- You Can't Give Away What You Don't Have
How to love, forgive and be free. You must receive His forgiveness and mercy. Praying for those who supposedly represent God who have wounded, betrayed you. Pray that they DON'T reap what they sow. There is such freedom in knowing He will restore what the locusts have eaten, when you obey Him and just forgive FROM THE HEART. How? Think of all He has forgiven you for and receive his mercy and give that away. Freedom! Grace=getting what you don't deserve, mercy=NOT getting what you do deserve. G.R.A.C.E.=God's riches at Christ's expense.
